Aurora’s beloved food truck plans to build a restaurant for year round enjoyment
James and Marni Danhauer own and operate JoJo’s Gelato and Grill, serving gelato hamburgers and sandwiches to the good people of Aurora. The SBA 504 loan will be used to purchase land and construct a new restaurant that is an expansion of the owners’ current food truck. The food truck has been traveling to fairs, events and festivals in the area as well as a seasonal outdoor dining location in Aurora.
Thanks to NEDCO and the 504 small business loan, this expansion will allow them to serve more customers, be open year round, expand their menu and purchase new equipment. James has been overseeing all aspects of running the business and day-to-day operations since JoJo’s started in 2015. James will also be the acting general contractor for the project as he has previous experience working as a contractor. He is experienced in all phases of construction, however, all construction will actually be subcontracted out.
