New marketing, new owners for fire-rated window manufacturer
With the help of NEDCO and the SBA 504 loan, Talon Capital, LLC will takeover Fyre-Tec and purchase its building that is owned by Tekton, Inc. in Wayne, NE. The new company, owned by Cheri Gehling (President), Rebecca Barak and Tyler Bliemeister, will continue to run Fyre-Tec Company with its current employees. With the new leadership, the company will now be owned 80 percent by women and continue development in a rural area.
Since 1991, Fyre-Tec has been specializing in the design and manufacturing of fire-rated windows that have been tested and rated by Underwriters Laboratories. Despite having three direct competitors in California, Pennsylvania and New York, Fyre-Tec is one of two companies in the U.S. that offer fully assembled UL rated, operable windows. Previously, the business was successfully relying on word of mouth, the new owners have set up a new marketing strategy that will reach even further and bring in more clients.
The key focus for the SBA Loan Program is to continue and grow economic development in a community, especially in rural areas.
